I just got an email saying that I am a Richmond Scholars Finalist!
I have been selected for the Science designation and have my interview around March 17.
Could someone guide me please?
As in, what should I be expecting? What kind of preparation required?
Could you please share experiences, if you have done this?

Before my son interviewed last year, he spent some time looking into what the science professors at Richmond were doing with their research. If you know which professors are on the scholars selection committee, focus on their work. Interviewers are impressed if they see you’ve put time into preparation. Be ready to explain why you like science, what you’ve done in science that’s excited you, what science related studies you’d love to do at Richmond, and where you hope to be in 5 years.

Also, take a few minutes and prepare your surroundings for the interview. If you’ll be in your room, don’t have an offensive or distracting poster in the background. Make sure it will be quiet where you’ll be, and turn your cell to vibrate. Smile.

I too am a finalist. Any more tips for the interview? I already know the date and time of my interview as I had to schedule it around a previously arranged trip. I will be on a plane mere hours before my interview on March 22 and 5:30 in the afternoon. Again, any tips?
