-Current College list: college ($cost that each of the net price calculators gave me) (visited?).
-Disclaimer: Determining of Reach, Match, Safety, may not be accurate

Reach: Carnegie Mellon Univ. ($6,425)(no) Williams ($3,230)(yes), UChicago ($167)(yes), Cornell ($5,200)(no)
Matches: Umichigan ($2,600)(yes), Boston College ($12,000)(yes), Lafayette ($9,390)(no), Lehigh ($9,560)(no)
Safeties: UAlabama (~$12,000)(no),
-Need suggestions for affordable Safties that would fit me!
-I’ve posted threads similar to this, but this includes updated information such as my College List. I would appreciate any insight, as applications are imminent. Thank you in advance for the help(:

Safeties that would give good fin
aid: Florida State, Nebraska.

Have you looked into Questbridge?

https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/national-college-match/who-should-apply

Michigan State would be an obvious “safer” option, assuming the financials check out. You might want to check out their honors program:

@mamaedefamilia the only reason I’m not going to do quest bridge is because I think my First Semester Senior year grades are going to be a big deciding factor at some of these schools.

@Dylan197 not trying to be rude, but Im wondering how UMich is a match?

@gene167e7 I’m not so sure Michigan is a match, even though you’re in state, either. It’s such a crapshoot at schools that selective. Definitely high match/reach.

Safeties: Michigan State, Tulane (amazing merit aid for high achieving students; free to apply, so no risk).

@gene167e7 “Disclaimer: Determining of Reach, Match, Safety, may not be accurate.”
@guitars101 I will have to run the NPC for MSU. Thank you for mentioning Tulane!

  • Michigan might be more of a low reach than a match.
  • Michigan State as a safety
  • Reed meets full need and would be good in both physics and econ. Great city.
  • You might get good aid from RPI - would be a match and has a good physics and business (tech-oriented) programs. But not in a big city, and very nerdy.
  • Arizona State depending on NFC

@insanedreamer I have been checking out RPI, thank you! I’ll have to take a look at all of those.
