I won’t be able to sign up for the September one in time. I need to get a fee waiver from my councilor and won’t be able to do that before the time to register closes. At this point I’d have to pay a late fee to take the September one on top of the fee for the test. I checked the dates and the next one after that is October 22nd.
@98ashes As a lifelong resident of Illinois, I hate to do this. But, if you were my student, I would NOT recommend Eastern Illinois University at this point. Not because of the school itself, but because the horrible financial mess that the state of Illinois is in has jeopardized funding for a number of our public universities, and EIU is one that has been hit particularly hard. 
In Ohio, consider Miami of Ohio (in Oxford). If your ACT goes up, consider Denison.
