Ouch! But I agree with you. =D

Oh damn… looks like my application is out, haha XD

I have no 2400, 4.0, and see no brilliance in my application :P

@kenhungkk: And I bet you’re in and I’m out No brilliance means you would never be an IMO medalist :)

I’m absolutely sure that I will get rejected. The uncertainty principle does not apply here. Speaking of which, the bald soprano in passing?? She always wears her hair in the same style.

are there applicants with a SAT under 2100 ?

Yes. Me. And there are applicants with a SAT under 1500.

^eduardo: I’m an under-2100-SAT applicant

@ 12npm12: Let’s hope to meet each other in Cambridge the next school year. Chance = 3% * 3% = An infinitesimal percentage. :(

Mine is just about 2100…Oh, ken, I’m sure your accumulation of 18 years of RP will eventually give you a satisfactory result.

RP :D

I spend a lot before on SAT, on IMO, on TOEFL, etc.

I guess I’ve spent all RP I have.

;P, then I suppose mine have been used up in my interviews~~

My interview was just average due to a low RP level then :(

Modesty may serve, but optimism is the best(allow me to replace “knavery” and “honesty” ^_^). So let’s just hopefully wait for pi day~~~Anyway, wish we both could meet each other in MIT

@kenhungkk: Ok, then 97% of my rejection * 3% of your acceptance = no way infinitesimal, right? Why just hope? Let’s expect that you will be in Cambridge next year
What is RP btw?

MIT looks if you’re a good fit after it has looked at your GPA, ECs, test scores, and essays in that order of importance. The “fitness” of students is perhaps the harshest filter.

That is me. :(

Are these stats guesstimates, or are you getting them from somewhere?

I cannot believe that 60% only qualify. I was sure that I read somewhere that about 80% are academically qualified. I need to find my source.

The admissions officer at the Yale informational session that I attended estimated the percentage of academically qualified applicants to be 75.
