Finally got writing score...does this make scores not worth sending?

30 composite score with a 29 in English.

27 writing score with 8 essay

SAT -1350/1980 single score or 1430/2060 superscored

What should he send?

no, the essay scores are almost useless. most colleges don’t care very much about them. the composite is most important.

as for the scores, they are pretty much equal - the 2060 on the SAT is marginally better than the 30 composite (it’s something like the equivalent of a 31 on the ACT) but I wouldn’t stress too much about it.

you could send both and let the college pick whichever one they prefer.

2130 sat = 31 act

Government, I think you pulled the wrong numbers from the chart. A 32 would be a 2130, not a 31. (And the interesting thing is that my son’s CR/Math score seems to be equal to a 32 ACT.)

32 1410-1450 2130

31 1360-1400 2040

30 1320-1350 1980

29 1280-1310 1920
