thats lovely. thanks for sharing.

Haha, yep you missed the couple of months of great weather. It's been a pretty good summer, I must say.

This week has been really wierd . .. first the heat wave where it goes up to 100, now violent thunderstorms haha

yes.. i have been awaiting my visit to campus for quite some time. despite the rain, i am loving ann arbor.

Oh yeah - 75-80 degrees on a daily basis, low humidity, no rain. If we had that kind of weather year-round a lot more people would want to live here.

Great weather? It was over 100 the last 3 days. The rain was nice and needed.

This one girl in my orientation group last year had come to visit in April. She left 90 and sunny in Atlanta and arrived to a blizzard in Michigan.

that's awesome...if she's like me she was ready for actual seasons.

yeah, the rain made it very cool and breezy today.
anyways, ann arbor is awesome. i don't want to leave.

i was surprised by how many people come to UM for the info session and tours though.

I visited today to check out my dorm, and the weather was awesome.

is it a big application boost to check out the dorms and tours? because I havnt, and Im worried it might hurt me...

Recs: Probably one really great one from my english teacher, one good one from history teacher - cant really get one from math or science teacher, i got A's (A-'s) , but they know i had no work ethic in those classes

(yeah this is kind of like a trojan horse what are my chances post lol, but i really just want to know if not going on the tour will hurt my chances at Umich)

You really lack a lot of self confidence.

or perhaps you could just say, "you have a good chance without visiting the campus."

I know most colleges say that demonstrated interest doesn't play a part in admissions, but going on a tour and visiting (beautiful) Michigan won't hurt.

I doubt the admissions people have a little box they check off that says "visited campus".

I don't think Michigan cares that much, though; not like Emory, Wash U, and Cornell.

Nah, i'm too big of an as$

lol whatever wolves i dint give no ****

somewhat off topic, but one school I'm applying to is WUSTL. I most likely won't be able to visit the school b/c it's a good distance from Houston. What are some things yall would recommend for schools in general to show interest in them. I've already signed up on their mailing list and will maybe request an interview. Anything else?
