Finance after Electrical Engineering

I just finish my sophomore major in electrical engineering at Purdue. And I already accept the offer to work alternative 3 terms as a intern in Technicolor. I am also doing the research on solar cells this summer with a professor and i should appear as some second or third author on some papers and I still maintain my GPA 3.8+. My friends think everything of me goes smoothly and well. Frankly, i dont hate EE and i can do not bad in this field. However, i gradually find I am more interested in finance. Is this possible for me to apply graduate school as finance related major or go directly work in finance area? My math and programming are all pretty good in engineering level. Also, is the intern experience in technicolor will help on my plan?
Thanks

What in finance do you want to do?

you can easily go to b-school and get an MBA in finance with only an Electrical Engineering degree.

i am not quite sure, but i feel MFE seems a choice to me?

i have a question. If i wanna do MBA in the future, i think work experience is very important. But if i am working in some area not related to finance after graduation(Probably communication or network field), is my work experience still convinced when i apply for MBA in finance?

Let me be more clear. Are you looking at trading or investment banking?

IB, do they hire any from midwest universities?

A MFE has no relevance to IBD and a MBA usually requires work experience, particularly the top programs… which you will want to aim for since you are looking at banking. I’d give it a shot from undergrad, try to find alumni in the industry and leverage the contacts. If you can’t you’d be a huge long shot, engineering has nothing to do with banking.
