I am a freshman at Tulane University and am currently pursuing a degree in finance. However, I came into school with over a semester of AP credit, so I definitely want to tack on another major. My question is, what should I choose. I have it narrowed down to either economics or legal studies in business. I had planned on economics for the longest time, but having delved into the intermediate classes, I am starting to become under the impression that it’s completely useless. However, I am very interested in legal studies. I am not sure where I would like to end up when I graduate. I am in a dead split between investment banking and corporate finance.
My question is which major would 1) make me more marketable/hirable and 2) teach me more practical information regardless of the field. Basically, when employers take a look at my resume, which major will make me look better?
Thanks
