Finance/Business: NYU Stern v. CMU

Hi!

I'm interested in either Finance or Business. Which do you think is better for that, Stern or CMU Tepper School of Business?

Don't consider cost - they're about the same for my family.

I'm fine with both locations, but think NYC is better for finance.
CMU is also much smaller, with 380 business students, versus NYU (approx. 2000 business students)

Any ideas would be helpful!

Other Acceptances: Barnard, Bucknell, Northeastern
Waitlist: Johns Hopkins, Tufts, Georgetown, Columbia

The only waitlist I'm really thinking of staying on is for Columbia.

Stern, just for the internships.

How about CMU, Engineering, or Physics? That will get hired by Wall St. or Hedge Fund analytics or back office over a finance or biz major any day of the week. Front office neither matters.

I got into the business college at CMU, not engineering, but I’ve heard its easy to switch. Still, I don’t think I really want to do engineering.

I know business can be considered a “soft” major at many colleges, but at Stern and with their great internship (86%) and job placement (91%) rate, I thought it would be fine.

BUMP!

Also, at either Stern or CMU, I think I am going to minor in a hard science (physics, math, chemistry), or at NYU, double major

BUMP10 char

Stern is well known for finance. I would choose Stern, especially because of the internship opportunities.
