Finance In The U.S

which has a more concentrated and recognised program in finance and/or economics out of these unis ?

university of michigan ann arbor
university of southern california
Indiana university Bloomington

or would I be better off looking for Canadian universities ?

michigan and indiana. USC for the name and network, and also if you’re looking to concerntrate in business and film or music, etc. Noooo way, Canadian universities fall short when it comes to maths and business (their requirements and standard in general is quite weak-I’ve assessed this as an intl applicant), unless you;re talking about HEC in which case grab it if you do get admitted.

For finance:

As you can see, Michigan is the best in both categories by a few steps, but all of these are very good programs.

Unless you want to work on the west coast, Mich > Indiana (if you get into IB/Consulting workshops or whatever the hell it is they have there) > USC > Indiana Kelly (non-IB/Consulting workshops).

If you want to work on the west, USC > Mich > Indiana > Indiana with no workshops.

Indiana with the investment banking workshop has 100% placement. Are you telling me every kid at Ross who wants to be in IB gets into IB?

Also, they don’t end up in no-name MM and boutiques; they end up with BB’s and elite boutiques
