Does it mean to prove for example, if the cost of the school is 20k/year, then I should prove there is at least 20k on my bank account?

You need to show that you can cover the first year’s “cost of attendance” as it is estimated by your school. This includes tuition, room, board, health insurance, travel and personal expenses.

Bank statement is how I did it.

So if the cost of tuition, room, board, health insurance, travel and personal expenses together is 20k/year, all I need to do is to prove there is at least 20k on my bank account am I right, barium?

That is correct. Your college probably also wants to see a plan to pay for the remainder of your college education - you don’t need to have this money sitting in a bank account at this very moment though.

Alright,thanks a lot.
