Hi everyone,
I am trying to decide on which major to focus on in college and I am having trouble deciding what is best for me. I am interested in the stock market but realize that getting a job in the stock market is tough. So does anyone have any insight into what a job in each major entails, which has the best career outlook etc.

I was gonna make a new thread but I’ll leave the discussion here. I’d like to know if accounting or finance is better suited for me.

For my strengths and weaknesses, I have a solid background in math (Calc AB or Calc I in college) and I enjoy learning mathematical formulas as well as making use of them. I’d say my studying habits is decent (not the best but enough to be proficient in my classes) and I’m also the kind of person who doesn’t have a fascination for making big bucks; anything that could fulfill my needs (shelter, food, clothing) and some of my wants (around $500-$1000 per quarter of a year) would make me satisfied. I’m a relatively easy going person so I would assume fast-paced work would make me uncomfortable.
