Financial Aid After Freshman Year..

Could any upperclassmen comment on the financial aid during sophmore, junior, and senior years?

I'll be entering Tufts Class of 2011, with a very generous financial aid package. It was pretty much the reason for my choosing Tufts over other schools. However, I'm worried that my financial aid package is going to get worse over the years. The FinAid infomation packet says that although aid will stay the same, grants will go down and loans will increase every year.

My family's EFC is 0, and although generous, we will have difficulty paying off my tuition, so if it increases, we're going to have an even tougher time.

Also could anyone explain how outside scholarships work? I'm recieving one later this week, and hopefully will be getting a couple more. I know this decreases my finaid package, but can I use it to pay off the EFC? So if there is $10,000 not covered in finaid and I have additional scholarships that pay off my loan and work study, will more money just go to the Tufts? As in I won't be able to use my scholarship money to pay off the $10,000?

My daughter is finishing her sophomore year and we haven’t got her aid package for next year, but her sophomore package was essentially the same as what was received for her freshman year (generous.)

I believe that unless your financial situation drastically changes, you can expect your finaid packages to be very similar.
