i know that a lot of schools say that theyre need-blind in admissions, but wat role does applying for financial aid have in gaining admission to certain schools? 1 of my friends told me that a school is more likely to accept an applicant if they dont apply for financial aid, is this true?

I'm sure your friend has no proof of that, it's probably just what he/she thinks because of poeple they know who got rejected or accepted from schools.

anyway here my theory, financial aid doesn't make you exempt from paying, It just gives you loans to pay the college. so the college doesn't lose anything from having a student with financial aid, therefore why should they reject someone applying for financial aid?
