she tried last 2 years to get some part time or even full time job for minimum wages but she never get it since she never had any work experience and too many applicants in-front of her due to Economy we been having for last 10 yrs. But that option is still on Table if worst comes to worst.</p>

<h2>In response to a comment earlier, I think the trick to getting Pitt’s merit money is to be an out of state student (who also applies early). At least that seemed to be the pattern a couple of years ago.</h2>
<p>At least one other university has been saving their merit money for students who let a couple months pass without accepting their offer of admittance. In other words, if you accept the admissions offer right away, you don’t receive merit money. They are trying to leverage their money to go after students who would not otherwise choose that university.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that Pitt has a new honors college dean, so things can be changing. He has been there two full years. Before November is early, IMO.</p>
