<p>If i get financial aid, i got about 10,000 in grants. Should I waive SHIP or not. Not sure if they will pay for it or not.</p>
<p>If you don’t have health insurance, then go a head and apply for. If not then don’t waive. Regarding the cost, it is already covered under the tuition amount, so either way, you won’t get any less more aid from the school.</p>
<p>I don’t think you CAN waive unless you have comparable or better insurance, and SHIP insurance is a pretty good Blue Shield PPO at a great rate. The hassle of dealing with Tang and other local health services with non-SHIP insurance likely outweighs whatever money you might save.</p>
<p>The only reason to waive SHIP is if the coverage would be redundant.</p>
