If you want, you may want to check with the DOE to verify your app is OK. The next step is to that CMU will verify your enrollment, which will not happen until you actually get to CMU and officially register.

hey
I had the same question and my dad called the HUB earlier this week to see what else was needed so we weren’t stuck with the entire bill we got by email last week

They said as long as I did those two steps by July 31, half the amount I borrowed would display on the August invoice for Fall.

They also said there were no “banks” involved a – starting this year…we borrow directly from the US government. My dad said that’s how he did it in the “old days”…

@ Long Prime- did you get some sort of email from the DOE that said all was approved or did you check on the status at that web site?

ds finished in '06. I’m just trying to calm your nerves. Most of the info is obtainable from the DOE or from other websites (finaid). Remember the USGov-DOE, has a lot more apps that need to be processed than previous years. Your patience would be appreciated.

You got 5-6 more weeks before freshman orientation week where you will discover if you are a valid student or not; Rather, CMU, will discover that you are a real person or not. Relax and enjoy the summer.
