If my current CC is offering me X amount of money for financial aid (through FAFSA), but I am only planning on being at that school for one more semester, how can I transfer my financial aid to my new school after I transfer in the spring?

Each school will offer you different financial aid; however, you will get certain Federal aid regardless which school you’re attending.

I guess what I am asking is, do I need to accept the full amount of financial aid that the CC is offering? They are offering me two semesters worth of aid, but I only need one. If I accept the 1/2 that I need can I still get the additional money from my new school after I transfer in the spring? Sorry, if this was very confusing.

You need to find out what kind of financial aid you got? Most Federal aid can transfer from school to another, school aid (or Federal aid admin. by school) stays with a school.
You get financial aid for the semester /school that you attended. So if you attended school A in first semester, you will get financial aid from school A & Federal; if you attended school B in second semester, you will get financial aid from school B & Federal.

Ok, I get it now. So this semester at school A I should only accept 1/2 of my total offer reward for the year. And school B will allow me to obtain the other 1/2 once I apply financial aid with them.

Yes you got it
