Financial Aid Announcements

Has anyone seen a change in status that includes FA on Gibson website?
Thanks. Just wondering if anyone heard anything today.

I don’t know if this helps, but when I talked to a financial aid counselor in-person at Tulane on Monday morning, she said they were starting to send them out and they would be all out by the beginning of April. Mine wasn’t ready on Monday, I asked. So I think that 15 date we heard was just the beginning of the sending.

Nothing has changed for my son either. I know the financial aid site said they would start to post during the week of the 15th so maybe we will find out something soon. I will post as soon as we receive something.

At last night’s admitted student reception at San Francisco, admission counselor Kasey Bruns said that FA decisions would be posted between 3/15 and 4/15.

Wow, AVHS Dad. You must be Tulane saturated now, between HW and a reception. LOL.

I hope it is on the nearer end of those dates. Terrible for people to have to wait well into April.

fallenchemist: You think?
DS had homework and DW was too tired so I represented.
Tonight DW and I are going to the NO Hornets vs Golden State Warriors game in Oakland tonight.
(pity us, we’re season ticketholders).
I’ve gotta try and keep from yelling out “WHO DAT???” during the game.
The local Tulane alums usually attend as a group.

Sweet. Have fun.

I don’t recall who posted it or where it was posted but someone said that housing deposits and applications have to be into Tulane by March 19th. How can someone do that if they are having to wait on financial packages to see if they can afford to attend? Does anyone know if this is true?

No, that cannot be true. They are confused, that is the date that returning students have to have their forms in by. But in any case, even if you did send in a deposit you get a full refund if requested before May 1.

I knew I could not find anything on Tulane’s site saying March 19th but was afraid I had overlooked it. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
