Hi everyone,

So I just got a letter from my university today saying that my federal loans have been cancelled due to me not meeting the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy. I quickly checked my account and it said that Im on Academic Probation. My current gpa is 1.857. Im just one B away from a 2.0. I went to a community college for two years then I transferred here. I have been at this university for 2 years and have only gone part time, and for only 3 semesters. In total I have only taken 7 classes at this school. This past semester I have only taken two classes one in which I got a C and the other one an F. I am also registered for a summer class which starts on Monday and ends August 8th. My question is should I go ahead and submit a appeal letter or should I continued with this class (I am aiming for an A or B) and hopefully my gpa is a 2.0 before fall semester starts.

I know I am the only one to blame when it comes to my grades. I should have taken more initiative. In my defense it was an online class and the teacher was super hard everyone dropped it except me and three other people. I've learned my lesson, no more online classes.
