Hi folks, thanks for all of the help and insight on this board. Much appreciated. We got a letter in the mail yesterday acknowledging receipt of d's financial aid appeal. Thing is, we did not appeal anything.

We did send in the info requested regarding the non-custodial parent, so I am wondering if this is just a form letter? I think the word "appeal" threw me off.

Finally, would a random call from a "substantial donor" generate this kind of communication? This is a big stretch, but there is a distant connection who is likely aware of my d's application.

Not complaining- additional aid would be welcome- we can't afford to go with the current FA package. Just wondering out loud....
