<p>I visited Colgate last week, loved the campus and all the people I met. No doubt a very impressive school. As a transfer student I was a little shocked to hear that Colgate does not offer ANY financial aid to transfer students. I was just wondering if there were any students who have transferred to Colgate and what their experience with financial aid was. I spoke with an admissions officer and he told me that it is, "Rare," for a transfer student to get any financial aid. If this is true that Colgate offers nothing to transfer students than I'm not sure I will even apply because although I loved the school I am in no position to afford a $50,000+ college without any help.</p>
<p>You can still get loans but I’m not sure about merit or grant. I didn’t get anything as a transfer student. My friend, however, was a transfer as well and she got great aid from Colgate, actually better than her previous school. So you can decide to take a chance or not.</p>
