Hi, I got accepted with a 4.05 weighted gpa and I had a 1330 SAT. I also had many extra curriculars in STEM ranging from teaching little kids robotics to winning STEM completions and creating a club and more. I just received my acceptance and am I grateful that I got a $7000 scholarship per year but I was kinda hoping for more. Although NJIT is one of my safety schools I was hoping altleast 12k so it can have some incentive behind if I don’t into some schools or don’t get good aid. Also I got in the package where it says I get accepted but it discusses Fasfa and to fill it out but I did it over 2 months ago to get other aid. How have been your experiences with NJIT’s financial aid department and do you think they could give me more money? Thank you for you time and for reading this!
Are you in-state? $7000 is a fair fraction of the in state tuition. I think it is half off, right?
The tuition is about 16,000 plus books and other fees. In previous years and this year, students from my school with the same stats or lower with less extracurriculars than me, got higher aid and had about thee same income as my family.
I don’t know if they would give me more if I called or even if I wrote a short letter. Also I am in state.
