Financial Aid at U Of Rochester

How good is the aid? i got in ED II but i'm a bit scared about the $42,000+ price tag per year.

is aid continuess all 4 years?

how good the aid is is relative i guess. it is better than some schools, worse than others.

aid is continuous all four years as long as your financial status remains the same.

Anyone know the average financial aid package that U of R offers? I know this information is out there of USNews but I do not have access to my Premium Membership anymore.

i got $21k in dean scholarship and grants and federal grants.

and about 7k in workstudy and loans.

soyeahiknow, congrads on getting in! did the aid meet 100% of your need?

oceansky36 thanks! My EFC from the FAFSA was only 1370. a little low i thought at first but once i thought about it, it only seems low becuase my parents are 1st gen. asians and they are like supersavers.so I guess in the formula that they use, that is how much we can pay if we lived a average american lifestyle. but U of R uses the CSS so they don't really care bout the FAFSA EFC that much. Not all my needs were met, i still have to pay about $9,000 , $13,000 with loans, but oh well, it's still a good deal. I'm happy that it's not $43,000+!

did you get in? or do u not know yet?

soyeahiknow: i haven't gotten in yet. i'm hoping for an acceptance letter in march...
