Financial Aid at Vassar, University of Richmond and Rice University

I'm an Indian student and I was thinking of applying to Vassar, University of Richmond and Rice University. Are these places known to give financial aid to international students?

Have you gone to their websites and checked their financial aid policy as it pertains to international students?

I have and they all say that they offer aid to international students. No stats though. Thats actually why I wanted an opinion…

What all 3 schools have in common:

They are not need blind to international students so the ability to pay will be a factor in admissions.

If you do not apply for aid as an incoming freshman, you can not get aid later

If accepted they will meet 100% demonstrated need.

In short, if you want to go to any of these schools, your best position is to be able to pay to attend, or be at the top of the applicant pool. What are your stats?

Vassar states:

Since Vassar is not need blind, your ability to pay will be a factor in the admissions process. If you need a large amount of need based aid, unless you have something that puts you head and shoulders above the whole international pool of candidates, admission will be very problematic. However, if accepted the school will meet 100% of your need if admitted and you apply for financial aid at the time you apply your initial application. If you do not apply for financial aid at the beginning, you will not get it later.

Rice states:

Rice is not need blind to international students. Again, the ability to pay will be a factor in admissions. There is no financial aid available for students who apply early decision or as transfer students.
