Financial Aid at Wake Forest?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anybody knows how good Wake Forest is when it comes to financial aid. I'd love to go to Wake Forest, but it's too expensive for me! Hoping for some good financial aid.

I love Wake Forest too. I am waiting on the financial information before I make a decision for next year. Hopefully we will receive it this week. I do not think the money offered will be enough though. I really like my second choice school too.

Such a great school, but so expensive. I don’t like my second and third options as much, but they are both much more affordable.

Got our financial aid info today - lets just say it was not too appealing

Darn, that’s really disappointing. If you don’t mind me asking, how far do you live from WFU? I haven’t received any info yet.

I received mine today too. It was within a few hundred dollars of the net price calculator. I had hoped for more. The amount my parents are expected to pay is not a realistic number for a middle class family. I have to decide if I want to take out loans or attend a college that is offering me a tuition scholarship. I really love Wake Forest and may visit again before I decide. I live about 6 hours from the college.

Kyle and Flipper, what are your other choices that you like?

I’m going to need a lot from Wake for my parents to even let me consider it!
My other options are ones that I like…University of Toronto for 20,000 per year and Rutgers Pharmacy School 27,000 per year. Still waiting on McGill University.

Live like 80 mins door to door to Wake; so was expecting it today. Hard to compare in=state UNC Chapel Hill to Wake (one is like 2.3x the other). Got a 7.5k scholarship from WF which was nice but have UNC-CH plus two others in the same ball park make Wake a bridge too far.

Got it. I’m in the NY area so hopefully I will get mine tomorrow to see if it’s even an option for me.

Nothing here yet in Colorado.

DD received pretty generous finaid offer yesterday in Delaware: $35,500 sch/grant + the usual loans, but got full tuition scholarships at other schools, including the University of Richmond, which she is pretty sure she will attend.

Nothing today out west in CA

Son received his FA today in Colorado. Generous offer that is competitive with or more than what other schools have given him. Thanks WF!

Still haven’t received anything in NJ…
