I missed the deadline for fall 2009 admission evn tho i gradutaed this summer frm high school. I simply do not want to waste a whole year! So i was thinking of applying for spring semester to some US unis.

Could any of you tell me what kinds of aid are offered for international students in spring semester? There's also a myth that colleges offer much less aid on spring sessions than on fall sessions? Is it true?

Could any1 also pls list schools in NY or PA that give good aid to intl students applying for spring semester?

It’s true that schools plan their financial aid budgets for the year, so spring students are only eligible for money from what’s left over from fall semester and students who didn’t return.

Very few schools offer financial aid at all to international students. More information can be found here: [eduPASS | Financial Aid for International Students](Financial Aid - eduPASS) and here: [Schools Awarding International Financial Aid](Schools Awarding International Financial Aid)

Note that schools offering financial aid to internationals is more of an exception than the rule, especially with the shaky economy right now. Also, realize that instead of giving you aid, schools may just not admit you at all.

Universities in the UK can be cheaper than those in the US, but as far as I know don’t offer financial aid to internationals.
