Has anyone received their financial aid package? Or know when they are being released?

According to the financial aid session at explore carolina this week, the letters will come out at the end of March or beginning of April. Check your to do list on mycarolina in case you have been chosen for verification.

My son’s fin aid award was on Connect Carolina today. He was admitted EA.

Yup same here!

Yep… got both of ours today. Oh brother and that’s all I have to say.

We have ours and they appear to have not noticed that I will have two kids in college next year. They used the entire EFC at UNC when they are supposed to divide it. I will be calling first thing!

My son’s was there, too. What I expected, but not what I was hoping for.

Quick question: Has everyone who got accepted early action and sent the FAFSA and CSS profile by March 1st received their financial aid award?
When I go on my My UNC account and click financial aid it says: 2015 financial aid application in process (?)
I thought I should ask you all before I contact them about it.

My son was accepted early action. We submitted FAFSA and Profile by Feb 1 (to meet another school’s deadline.) Check to make sure you don’t have anything on your Financial Aid To Do List on your UNC account. I have no experience with this, but if there was nothing on my son’s to do list, I’d have him call.

Wow … our son just printed the financial aid package from MyCarolina for us to review. Way way less than the UNC’s Net Price Calculator…

What was way way less… the amount they wanted you to pay or the amount they offered? One is good, one is very very bad!

Sorry, what they offered in financial aid was too low vs. their NPC. NPC had grant aid, student loan, and student work. The actual financial aid package offered Perkins loan and direct subsidized loan, which was even less than the loan offered in the NPC. Based on the NPC, we encouraged son to apply…

has anyone received the actual award letter by snail mail?

Has anyone accepted on RD receive their FA?

did anyone get a grant to buy CCI laptop. I did and i am wondering how good is it?

^When I got my CCI grant I was able to buy a MacBook Pro with it, without paying much myself.

my cci grant only allows me to buy a lenovo thinkpad t440 which is the cheapest one. do they allow students to pay extra and purchase a better one?

@klkl3045 - Yes indeed they do. You may purchase any option CCI offers, paying only the difference between the purchase price and your grant amount awarded.

Does anybody know when the award letters will be available for RD students?

Mine was ready two days ago
