Yes. Arrived today. We are about two hours away from south bend so we are relatively close.

got mine in New England!

My son’s arrived in Chicago suburbs yesterday.
Impressions?

We seem to always be a few days behind in ND mailings, hopefully see something today or tomorrow. I am wondering if packages are consistent with what other comparable schools are offering?

My son’s was very consistent with other schools.

No letter today in NJ, still waiting

Has anybody gotten ANY merit aid, or only need-based aid?

My son’s arrived yesterday. It was a little on the light side. I may be misremembering, but I think my older son was actually offered a little better EFC two years ago when he was selecting his college. Now, I’ll have two in college - I’d have thought that would cause Notre Dame to provide a little better award, not a worse one.

Oh, well, I guess ND doesn’t want my younger son very much.

Very small merit aid. Fact of the matter is, these kids are all remarkable. I guess it would be difficult to give every deserving student a scholarship.
The need based aid was consistent with other schools. Puts us in a tough position.

Margatroyd, what other schools are you considering?

Anyone else not receive their fin aid letter yet? Didn’t come again today- still waiting.

I didn’t get mine either yet and I’m super anxious! For those of you who did get yours, how close was it to the net price calculator’s estimate? And/or how close was the Fafsa EFC compared to what ND says your EFC is?

At least we’re not the only ones- I was starting to get worried. Maybe they sent out EA first? Were you RD by any chance?

Nothing here in Minnesota today. Sigh…

Oh, and my D was accepted EA.

I’m EA so I’ve been waiting over 3 months haha. @sandromo I heard they send the RD packages a few days after the EA’s. Hopefully mine will come tomorrow because it is what determines if I can actually go!

Living61 - to answer your question: my son is also considering University of Illinois, Wash U, and Northwestern.

DD has not received it yet, either and she was EA.

We got ours, it was the second worst of all the FA offers received this far, with only UIUC having a worse offer. I was kind of surprised how bad it was, I hope others fare better than we did! Good luck all!

Oh, other schools:
UVA, RPI, U. Mich, UIUC. She is planning on engineering or CS. She liked ND but will probably pick from one of the 4 listed above (although probably not UIUC). ;-)

You got a good offer from Michigan? My son got zilch. Loan only. Whereas uiuc he got two scholarships - and we are in state.

Seems crazy how this stuff works. We expected the best offer from ND and it was kind of poor. We didn’t think RPI would give a very good offer and it was pretty good (as were the state schools). It all seems a little random. We are OOS for UIUC and their offer was really bad, although we did kind of expect that one at least.
