<p>Okay, i have a major issue. To make things short, i submitted my documents late with an appeal. I just received a page called "Accepting Your Financial Aid Award" with which loans I'm suppose to accept. I my pell grant, cal grant, and acad comp grant. However, I'm missing my UCSD grant, which was a whopping 12,000. Instead, it is replaced by a 14,000+ Parent Plus loan. There is no way i can attend UCSD with this. What should i do? I can't continue my acceptance process without accepting these loans first.</p>

<p>EDIT: I realized that these awards should be expected since it's late and i need to wait for my appeal to be approved. The problem is that i need to accept it by the 14th. I dont know if they'll approve it in time...</p>

<p>youll probably have to accept the loan now, and then at a later date they will approve your appeal and you can then call them and they will reduce or cancel the amount on the loan, whatever you tell them to do. but they are swamped right now by giving summer aid and getting everyones primary award notification now that your appeal will be at a random time. the loan wont actually go into effect (any money distributed) until sept 20th or so, so you have time, and you can cancel it any time before the distribution (or after, if there is more to be distributed)</p>
