Hi! I'm planning to apply on Early Action to either Barnard or Bryn Mawr this fall. I'm an international student. I know what criteria the size of a financial aid award for international students is based on, but I was wondering how large the aid can be. Like is it possible to get full aid? I've already corresponded with both colleges and their answers are quite vague to be honest. Thank you!

Barnard is not “need-blind” for international students - thus, your family’s ability to pay at least some of the costs will be a factor in whether or not you are admitted. Ergo, it is highly unlikely that you would be admitted with a zero parental contribution, unless you are an exceptional candidate for one reason or another.

Bryn Mawr is need-sensitive as well.

You need to ask the financial aid director the question. Neither school is need blind for admissions for international students. However, that could be because such students who are admitted are given full need as they define it.

I am not familiar with either schools fin aid policies for internationals. I don’t know if they actually do guarantee to meet full need for internationals, or even if they do give aid to them, as some schools do not. You seem to know already that they do give some aid to non US citizens.
