Financial Aid Awards

Update…
We received an email from the financial aid office this morning saying they received my son’s FAFSA. We submitted it 10/1. I had thought they must have received it prior to then, but maybe they never went to retrieve it until now.

The email said no further action needed at this time and we will be notified when our award letter is ready for review in their AccessPlus system.

I sent his ACT score 11/8, but I’m not sure how long that takes to be received either.

Thanks for the update. I have not received a similar email, but I’ll keep an eye out for it. We filed the FAFSA on October 4th, so I imagine we should hear something soon as well.

AccessPlus is now showing that my son’s FAFSA was received (it shows that the FAFSA was filed on 10/4 and received by ISU on 10/26). I never did get an email though. At least I know they have it!

The portal now says that FA awards will be available beginning on Jan. 31st.

I checked this morning and my son’s financial aid award is not out there yet.
Has anyone else seen anything?

My son’s award is not posted either. It says the information will be available “beginning” today, so it may still be a while for some of us. Let us know if you see anything.

All my financial aid was revealed on Access Plus and I am disappointed. I didn’t expect the total OOS cost to exceed $35,000. My NICE Award and Academic Recognition Award didn’t cover enough.

My son’s award is now posted. He received a small ISU grant in addition to the automatic scholarships, which was a nice surprise.

California, I’m sorry to hear that your aid wasn’t enough! :frowning:

Thank you for posting! I had checked twice already today and wasn’t going to check again. Son received the ACE award which we knew about and also a nice ISU grant. Happily surprised and ready to visit.

The ISU grant was a very nice surprise for an OOS student! We visited back in November, and my son loved the school (so did I)! Enjoy your trip!

@iamgriffinsmom I just have to keep moving forward  Thank you for showing sympathy. Is your son attending ISU for sure?

It’s tough when the money doesn’t work out, but I’m sure you’ll find an affordable option that you love! My son is not 100% sure, but it’s definitely a top contender!
