Financial Aid Carolina Covenant Help! Urgent!

So I am currently a freshman Carolina Covenant scholar and on February 27th, I submitted both my FAFSA and CSS Profile (before the March 1st deadline) for financial aid for next year. However, I get this email saying that my financial aid application is incomplete! Apparently, in Connect Carolina, I had to turn in my mom's tax return, as well as a form declaring that I do not have to file taxes. These items in my "To-Do" list were not there when I checked ConnectCarolina before March started.

In conclusion, I am just worried I won't get that full-ride Carolina Covenant offers me just because of these 2 items I have to turn in, something they do not remind you about. Do you think I will lose my Carolina Covenant status? Or will they just release your financial aid package later than everybody else's? Has anyone here ever submitted their financial aid application after the priority deadline? Please Help! :)

*I will ask the financial aid office, however, I want to know what YOU guys think. ;)

Here’s what I think… ;)

I’m a financial aid administrator who works with the Carolina Covenant in the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid at UNC-Chapel Hill. I can assure you that if you completed your FAFSA and PROFILE forms by the March 1 priority deadline, that you will receive priority aid packaging. It is typical that we request additional information for Carolina Covenant Scholars, a Verification worksheet - that is sent to the Covenant listservs, that also requests student and parent federal tax filer, or non-tax filer information. Anything that comes up on the “to-do” list in Connect Carolina after you have met the application priority deadline, will not effect your “on-time” filing status. We suggest that you just complete any additional items requested as soon as possible.

If you have additional questions… please email aidinfo@unc.edu

Thank you so much! That takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders! :)
