I did an 'invited' expedited decision application to Brandeis University, and was THRILLED to be accepted.

However, there was no info about merit aid in there, just a letter stating that they still needed something for my NEED based financial aid.

Is it standard to not offer non-need based aid until need-based has been considered as well, or should I accept that I'm getting no non-need-based aid from Brandeis?

Thanks,
Jay

I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and didn’t have any award on it. I sisn’t have the CSS profile filled out so that might be the problem.
I hope that I still get merit based awards since the average financial aid package there is around $30000.

Yeah, I saw that their average for non-need-based aid was 23,000. I’m not trying to be cocky, but I don’t think my stats are so bad that I wouldn’t get ANY sort of offer at all!

I hope this works out for both of us. :)
