i sent in my parents' income tax and w2 forms on monday morning because my mom finished her taxes a little later than i had hoped. would they still consider me for fin aid at this point? they should be getting the forms today or tomorrow.

...anyone?

i'm in the same boat as you symphony; my parents, despite my constant urging to complete their tax forms, only faxed them in on tuesday.. i'm also worried i might now get fin aid b/c might be too late..

Both of you should call Admissions/Financial aid directly. No one on this site will be able to tell you. You need to contact the school and tell them about your situation.

When I visited a few months ago, a parent asked that and the guy said that for sure, get in the fafsa and if you haven't filed your taxes yet, provide as accurate as an estimate as you can on the form and when you do file your taxes get them in soon. The Feb 15th date is just highly suggested but not a cut off for the aid. But yeah I would call. I called this morning because I didn't know I had to turn on my student tax returns since it showed up as missing on my enrolling page and she said just fax it and it should be fine.

I wouldn't worry. I sent mine in very late too, and they said they mailed mine on the seventh (about a week after they got my info). Don't fret!

You'll be fine, I sent my parent's w-2s on April 2nd, and still got a fin aid package online and in the mail.
