The financial aid deadline for RD is Feb 1st and I just realized there are some things I have not sent and I am panicking. Will they still accept things if they are one or two days late? Does this go for other colleges as well? Please help.

Well, the email came from College Board asking for the 2009 tax forms. And I was warned that would come after the Feb 1st deadline which it did. So, it’s not clear why they have a Feb 1st deadline. Unless they just want to have everyone’s intentions. I guess I’ll have to fix the CSS profile to match the tax forms, which was submitted before the deadline, and then send that in too.

nevermind …

Agree, the FA deadlines are ludicrous - because they are “estimated”. So now we all have to “correct” the CSS Profile and FAFSA once our taxes are completed. It’s pretty easy for the FAFSA - you can do it online. The CSS Profile has to be hand-corrected and then sent to each school individually.

What a pain - I think they do it on purpose to dissuade students from applying for FA!
