Financial Aid Deadline

So I was under the impression that the deadline for financial aid was Nov. 15 for ED applicants if they wanted to know if they could afford Penn beforehand due to the binding nature of ED.

Some friends of mine were saying that if you wanted financial aid period, this was the deadline. So if I applied ED, but missed the ED financial aid deadline, can I still be eligible?

the deadline ends in 2 hours, so you have no excuse not to have it in by then.

That is the deadline if you want your financial aid reward told to you the same time you get your decision. If you didn’t send it in by the 15th you’re still eligible for financial aid you just won’t find out your aid the same time you find out our decision.

wait so you mean if it looks like I can’t afford Penn, it will make them more inclined to reject me?

No. Penn is a need-blind school if you’re a citizen or permanent resident of US, Canada, or Mexico.

i don’t know how you came to that conclusion from what was said petree.

if you turn in your financial aid late nothing happens. i turned in mine 2 months late and still got a lot of money. you won’t know until you turn it in is all that happens but you really should just do it.

if you read the fine print, the deadline is so the estimates are ready by dec 15
