I live in NC (about 45 minutes from Wake) and I got my Financial Aid package in the mail today. I thought other people would like to know, since the acceptance package seemed to suggest they would not be mailed till mid April. My entire package consisted of grants and need based scholarships, so I do not know if these notifications are part of the merit scholarship process or if they are separate. Still, I figured those of you who live a long way away would like to know that financial aid information is in the mail. :)

Nice! How big is the packet. It took about a week for the accpetance packet to get to new york so I expect this to come sometime at the end of next week for me. If anyone is comfortable with it, please post your efc and resulting aid package.

It came in a standard envelope. The envelope was very thick though, since it had several pages. My EFC (from the FAFSA) was about $10,000. Entire package came out to $38,000. ($2,500 from loans, the rest from Grants/Need-Based Scholarships.)

Did they mention specific scholarships in this packet???

man, im ****ed @ the financial aid office, they were suppose to send me some papers whic i never received and my file is still incomplete...!! did they send you guys any papers before giving you the Aid? Uh, cuz i turned everything in like the IDOC and stuff...

Wilmingtonwave- The page that lists my financial aid package lists four scholarships by name. One is a state of NC funded scholarship, one is labeled "Wake Forest College Scholarship" and the other two are named scholarships that I am fairly positive are need (maybe merit/need) based scholarships for NC students. The remainder of the package is a NC Grant and a small Stafford Loan.

Thanks. I'm hoping to receive my scholarship stuff soon. I'm getting a little anxious waiting for it.

Yea I got those scholarship packets today. I got a small need based "Wake Forest College Scholarship" and a small unsub. Stafford Loan. Not much of a dissapointment as I wasn't expecting anything :)
Good luck to everyone else.

Yeah. I got mine today too. The college scholarship, one for SC students, work/study, and a small loan.

got mine today--pretty generous scholarship money--does anyone one know if this money is likely to be contstant over 4 years, because Im pretty sure I dont want to come up with an extra 2k a year in debt, if it changes

I think they keep the aid consistent unless your situation changes. I can't see Wake using the "bait and switch".
