Just got word that UD is working on getting Financial Aid packages out by the end of the week.

Does that mean the admission decision and aid package will come together?

Amazhon, word from whom, and are they referring to in-state students only?

Out of state students last year had the financial aid information available with the admission decision right on the admitted students website so there was no lag time between admission and knowing what you would be paying. (Speaking of OOS students)

my Blue Hen homepage just updated today saying FAFSA received

My daughter’s My Blue Hen page has been updated as well to indicate FAFSA received. She hasn’t checked the page in a week so we are not sure when it exactly changed, but our FAFSA was filed end of January.

I did mine February 1st and my homepage says they didn’t receive it. Do you think that is a problem? Or do you think they’re just in the process of processing it?

i sent mine in in feb also and it changed and said it has not been received yet…
has everybody’s FASFA info been added?
or could this be a hint to our acceptance?

I sent in fafsa the last day of february and i checked today and fafsa was on my list of things recieved.

My page says we are still waiting for your FAFSA… My mom thought you only did FAFSA for when you are accepted so I have yet to do it. Will this hinder my decision??

My D’s status changed overnight, waiting for FAFSA, any chance this indicates acceptance?
Would they bother asking for this info if she was denied?

@Wilkey - You should complete the FAFSA and have the report sent to all the colleges to which you applied. Most schools want them as soon as possible after Jan 1. It shouldn’t hinder your decision, but it could hinder your chances for financial aid and/or need-based scholarships. It’s not too late, but I suggest you complete it asap. Go to U Del’s financial aid page for a complete explanation.

I also got the same status change for my FAFSA and I was curious if this hints at acceptance as well. I only thought colleges really needed the FAFSA info if you were going to be offered admission.

According to the Financial Aid office they received over 20,000 FAFSA’a, so, unfortunately, it does not seem to be an indication of acceptance.

On Monday, our status said they didn’t receive FAFSA even though we submitted it by the 2/15 cut off. I called and they said they hadn’t updated the system yet, but they did have it and notices were planned to be out by Friday. We got our award notice today. Our student is instate.

My d is oos and got her award and acceptance in the mail today
