Financial aid disbursment question. Help!

<p>Hi everyone , this is the first time that I'm getting financial aid and I have a question I'm confused about.
So I'm going to uci this fall and I got $20,000 in calgrant + uci grant . I know that uci will credit the tuition amount automatically to my billing account for fall. But would I get the rest of the money after ? How much do they send to you each quarter? </p>

<p>For calgrabt I got like $12,000 for tuition
$1000 and something for books and uci gave me $6000 something. </p>

The school will refund if you have excess aid after tuition & fees, and room & board.</p>

<p>I don’t know how it works on the quarter system. But for semesters, you’d get 1/2 of any leftover money each semester. The Bursar’s office disburses it to you. You will have to check with them about the timing. </p>
