I just wanted to let everyone know that when I checked my financial AID status for USC (unfortunately, i did it way later than i should have), it showed them as receiving no documents (this was last week, and I had submitted everything by the deadline except tax documentation). So, over a month of my FAFSA+CSS Profile submitted with nothing to show.

USC apparently didn't have my SSN on file so they couldn't match it. Make sure to check your status! They responded to me within a DAY and fixed my file. Everything is good now. Just a reminder that silly things like this that aren't your fault, can hurt you for financial aid.

Anyway, the wait is killing. I've been on being reviewed for everrrrr come on USC! Let the southern Florida boy in!

I just checked my financial aid documents, and I did not realize that we had to file an income tax return to USC by March 2nd! It’s the weekend, but I really need to contact them about my financial aid so I plan to do so on Monday. Do you think they will still give me financial aid?

Also, my tax return document is a couple of pages long so I don’t know if they want me to send the first page only or if I have to fax it. If I have to fax it, what number do I fax it to?

You need to send all pages of the tax return, all schedules, and copies of the W-2s. Be sure to send the W-2s on a separate page so they don’t cover part of the tax return. Be sure the tax returns are signed. Tax returns for both parent and students must be submitted - if you did not file, submit a non-filer’s statement (link to that form is on page one of the FAQ thread linked above).
