Financial aid email= good sign?

My parents got an email yesterday asking for some individual form that had to do with some aspect of the tax return that we sent. Basically one only could have noticed this if they were going line by line through our tax return (we checked off a box accidentally). My mom called and they said they needed a certain form in order to complete a financial aid packet - we cleared it up that we had accidentally checked the wrong box or whatever. What piqued my interest was that they were not sending the email because they were missing a large piece of financial aid data (FAFSA, CSS, etc.), rather they were calling to discuss minutia...
Does URichmond make a financial aid packet or go through the entire tax return for everyone who applies regardless if they are accepted or not?
Has anyone else gotten any similar emails?

I got a similar email from them last week, and was thinking the same thing. I would have to believe they only do a thorough review of students likely to be accepted. Not a slam-dunk, necessarily, but I wouldn’t think you’re in the definite reject pile (not yet, anyway). Good luck!

just FYI for future CC readers, I did end up getting accepted
