hi. so a few days ago i got an email from tufts indicating that there were a few items missing from my financial aid application. i find this really peculiar because...
a. at this point they probably have already a good indication as to who they will accept/deny
b. if i was rejected, why would they ask for these items?
am i being too optimistic? is this a good sign? gaaahhhhhh im freaking out. march 30 cannot come any sooner!!

Similar thing happened with me for Brandeis. I would presume u got in but cant be too sure

thanks! i see you applied too. best of luck! this is going to be the longest week of my life… Sorry to vent to you but I’ve been pretty emotionally unstable this week. Last night i found out i got waitlisted at villanova. but i got into bc which is kind of strange because virtually everyone who applies to nova with a 2100+ gets in… i am trying to let it not get to me but its kind of freaking me out. whatever. just have to wait until march 30th i guess. :/

While it’s definitely not a bad sign, I know that, in most universities, financial aid is a separate process from admissions. I’m not sure about Tufts University, but I know that for a different college where I got rejected, they had drafted up a financial aid policy for me anyway. Also, it might be a better sign if it was someone from Financial Aid who sent it, rather than an automatic notification. Was it?

sorry to burst the bubble. See Dan’s response here:

Well my case was special with Brandeis. They were personally emailing me 2 days before they posted decision. Didn’t finish it until one day before. They aren’t need blind I think so it was pretty obvious
