ABBeachMom - that's what I was guessing all along about josephql, and I'm sure what he was told applies to him, not everyone else who is desperate for hope and drove the kid away.

hmm not too sure. i was looking at this forum and i kinda got freaked out

look at iambored10 comment

It specifically says "Rice tends to send their financial aid award a week before"

This means that people would have to receive the actual financial aid AWARD before they can start freaking out about getting in. Of course, if you get the actual award amount, it should be pretty obvious that you are accepted. No need to fret yet, flycaifly :)

@ ABBeachMom: great idea; I called the FAO and got connected to a counselor, who said that it was a generic e-mail sent to all applicants, so I guess none of us need to worry :)

well not to ALL applicants . . . sigh

cdkmom - don't freak out - the email was only sent to those applicants who said that they intended to apply for aid but did not register in the system as having everything complete.

i called the financial aid office and they said it was a generic email

I supposedly don't have everything completed since collegeboard hasn't processed my IDOC stuff... Didn't get the e-mail.

did u call the idoc ppl? they can tell you when they received your stuff and when they gave it to the colleges that requested it.

I called FAO and yeah it was pretty generic. I just got ****ed off when i learned that one of my docs is missing and they never cared to email me about it so i can turn it in ASAP..... i guess the huge influx of applicants is hitting hard at home.

errr is anyone's financial status page showing triple everything? or is it just me?

yeah mine tripled too. weird...
