Financial Aid Email

Today I received an email about financial aid. I never submitted any financial aid stuff to Princeton(because it was a long shot) even though I said that I would apply for financial aid on my application. I thought this email was interesting because they are requesting that I send it in. They also end the email with "We hope to hear from you within the next few days." Do you guys think it means anything?? THank you!

I applied for financial aid, and sent in all the forms and whatnot, and I never received this e-mail. I'm guessing it was something they sent to all the candidates who haven't sent in the forms yet, and those who didn't apply for it on the app were included just in case.

Anyone have any ideas? Im very curious

i didn't get any but i believe i sent everything so...

^ Chillax, it's an automated, computerized response. You checked the little box on the app for Financial Aid, but then you didn't follow through. Therefore, their system detected a discrepancy and sent you an email, requesting the stuff. Simple.

darn it. ok thanks!

i just wish it was 3/31 already

ugh me too. Im just excited to know all of the decisions. And im tired of waiting. I think Princeton's will come out sooner than the 31st and I only live about 2 hours away so maybe its not too much longer!

good luck to all the applicants

the day looms closer....dun dun DUN

Well I sent in the FAFSA but not the Profile, but I did not recieve such an email.

Princeton doesn't require the Profile

good luck to everyone.

@Anticipation16: I don't think any decisions are sent by regular mail.. so all will be posted online at the same time - 5 pm EST, March 31st.. so all of us will have to wait :(

i think they send letters also, i hope because i cant register with the tracking service lol and i applied using the paper app (which may be why the tracking service is not working).

i looked on 2012 board and they say they got an actual letter like two days after the internet notification, so hopefully it hasnt changed

Wait a sec... I didn't bother sending in any financial information either, and I didn't get an email.

Maybe it means they thought it wasn't worth the effort to send rejected students an email??? Oh man, paranoia is starting to kick in hard core.

Just to add a little clarity to the situation for anyone who hasn’t applied yet (and has not yet faced the anxiety of waiting), I did not get a financial aid email from Harvard, Yale, or Princeton.

I got acceptances at H and Y, but a waitlist from Princeton. I was definitely missing forms though; H and Y sent me a request for them with the admissions package.

So it would appear that getting the request for missing forms is fairly random.

Well I got a request for Financial aid and I was, miraculously, accepted to Princeton!! So who knows!
