Financial aid - Even with loans it won't be enough

Incoming freshman..

I'm really worried now. My top school choice recently accepted me (Mizzou) and I received my award package today. I got to excited accepted 6k of fed loans. I got grants and scholarships and then rest loans. I realized I am about 4k short [estimate COA attendace budget]. I calculated how much i'll receive each semester split and I'm already short of over $500 with room and board and tuition/fees. Everything else like personal expenses, BOOKS AND SUPPLIES, trasnporation expenses are definitely now going to be coming from my pocket. I am SCARED I will either not have enough by then, or just run out savings!! I have a job, and make okay pay but I'm having to save a few grand now for other things and can't hold off those. I don't know what to do.. any advice? I'm alraedy 6k in debt first year can't even imagine next three years after.. :/

I'm just very sad that i can't even buy books with my loans, thought i would..but nope looksl ike i'll be covering them.. Btw, no parent financial support whatsoever! This is all on me. And i will not ask them for help.

Work a job while in school. Maybe two. I know someone who works 3 and takes 19 credit hours. If you want to make it work, make it work.

I had to take loans to get me through (no grants/scholarships). My parents had to take out loans to help me pay for the ridiculous living costs here. I got free tuition through my dad’s disabilities as a veteran.

Why don’t you consider another school that you can actually afford? If you’re not receiving parental support, you’re kinda screwed.
