Financial aid, final?

Is the financial aid letter you receive in the mail along with your acceptance package final? Or is this just an estimation? Thanks.

If the school has received all the information for which it asked, including actual tax returns, then the package you received is the actual financial aid package that Harvard is granting to you. If the financial aid office was working off incomplete documentation or estimated taxes, then what you received can be revised based on the completed or actual documentation you ultimately provide.

If you and your parents have submitted the FAFSA, CSS PROFILE and tax documents through IDOC, but feel you need additional aid, you can appeal the award by contacting the financial aid office: [Appeals Process](http://www.fao.fas.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k51861&pageid=icb.page244022)

"We treat each financial aid application on a case-by-case basis within the general guidelines of our program and exercise flexibility in assessing the needs of individual families.

The Committee on Financial Aid meets on a regular basis through the year to discuss appeals from students and families. Any student with questions about financial aid or with new information to bring to our attention should contact our office to request a review of the aid award."

Ok, thanks guys! :)
