<p>So my father said he has gotten some emails from the UVA financial aid department asking for some follow ups on some of the forms. </p>
<p>He seems convinced that this is a good sign for me, because UVA wouldn't bother asking for more information on my financial aid situation if I wasn't going to be admitted. </p>

<p>Financial aid and admissions work independently of each other. Ideally they want to be able to offer a financial aid package at the same time they offer admission. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can read anything into financial aid asking follow-up questions other than they have questions. Hope it works out for you!</p>

<p>Do not read anything into this. UVa admissions is need blind. I thought the same thing at the college my son applied to ED. The day before admission was denied they requested more financial information. The previous comment was correct in that they want to offer an optimum financial package the same time they offer admission so they review all applicants prior to knowing acceptances.</p>
<p>SFS can’t wait on us to have final decisions done. There just isn’t enough time. I’m sorry. I don’t think you can read into a request for more information.</p>
