When and What do accepted students have to send in to NYU by which deadline. I only sent what NYU needed to give my estimate based on 2004 tax returns. Should I send CSS profile with updated info? FAFSA? 2005 Tax returns? Thanks.

Nope, you don't have to send anything unless you are one of the "chosen"

Can you elaborate on 'chosen'?

oh. the US Department of Education randomly chooses several students.
If you are chosen, you need to prove that you have wrote correctly on the FAFSA by providing your and your parents' tax reports. (which if you don't turn those in, you get nothing)

So in conclusion:

unless you got a letter requiring you to turn the tax report in, you don't have to.

Ohh I see.

So even though my Financial aid estimate was based on my parents' 2004 tax returns, (since they filed 2005 after I applied) I don't have to send NYU anything yet? Seems odd

Nope.

which means that you can totally BS the FAFSA (except it's a realllly bad idea)

Awesome, I'm tired of filling out long boring forms.
