Financial Aid for American going to Canada

I have been looking for information everywhere I can. If I am an Amercian citizen, is there financial aid I can apply for similar to FAFSA, or is it FAFSA?

as far as I know you can qualify for FSA and student and parent loans are all usually accepted as payment for university, from what I understand the process for applying for FSA is the same no matter which country you chose to go to school in.

Government financial aid for Canadian universities is provincially based. Americans are not eligible for government-based aid, just as Canadians wouldn’t be eligible for government-based aid in the U.S. You’d have to secure your student loans through a bank.

Oh I know that, I am Canadian, however American students can apply for American Student loans and apply them to Canadian universities, and they can also use loans their parents get to pay for school too. If an American student wishes to apply to a Canadian school and they need financial aid, they apply for it the same way that they would if they were going to an American school. So they won’t have to worry about any extra financial aid paper work to come to Canada, its the same process.
